Alaska is also a mountainous region and Juneau airport PAJN got a hill very close from its runway threshold. Aircrafts have to fly their final with a 14 degrees offset in order to land safely. Here I perform the LDA X approach runway 8 via EEF as initial approach fix (Navigraph navdata changed it to SSR VOR but both are about on the same position). The tear drop base turn will be performed on SSR and EEF entry points, so chart mention that no procedure turn will have to be executed after LYNNS waypoint. Since live weather works again, I use it and today visibility is not great, so I need to rely on instruments more. At minimums visibility was enough to land and this "grey" atmosphere with mountains is quite impressive !
