In this session, we’ll explore how a person-centred approach to pilot training can shift the landscape of industry regulation. Using simulated scenarios and real-time demonstrations, we’ll show how coaching and mentoring are at the heart of developing confident, competent, and resilient pilots. Our system is grounded in an evidence-based approach, aligning with Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) to ensure development is both measurable and meaningful. We’ll share how our coaching-led framework supports pilots in regulated environments - not just to meet standards, but to thrive within them. Expect a practical, interactive session where you’ll see our methods in action, understand the evidence behind them, and leave with insights into how person-centred development can enhance performance, safety, and wellbeing in any high-stakes profession. About Sam Sloan Samantha’s unique combination of qualities has led to success across a range of industries and organisations. An inspirational speaker in Coaching and Mentoring with EMCC Global and is an EMCC Global Senior Practitioner. Samantha supported Resilient Pilot to gain EMCC Global International Standards for Mentoring and Coaching Programme (ISMCP) and attained GOLD standard. Samantha also advises on leadership, teamwork, recognising high potential and pilot support and development. Samantha's experience includes leading teams in businesses such as Barclays and has trained 1000's of individuals and teams in many industries in her 30+ year career so far. Samantha is also a passionate developer of people with over 17 years in the L&D space. About Stuart Beech Stuart is CEO and Founder of Resilient Pilot, a volunteer-run not-for-profit initiative that was born out of the pandemic supporting the resilience development of pilots and crew by empowering them to build confidence, competence, and connections. As a British Airways Senior First Officer, Wellbeing Officer, CRMT and CBTi, Secondary School Maths Teacher and qualified Mentor/Coach, Stuart has shown a keen interest in fusing this experience with virtual evidenced-based development. Resilient Pilot pioneered introducing The Resilience Development Programme, a virtual blended mentoring, coaching and competency-based approach to continuous personal and professional development supported by Civil Aviation Authority International CAAi.
