I’ve used this mold to make paperweights in a previous video, and I just love these things. This time I wanted to use murrini to see what effect I could get. Tabitha Burrill recently featured some paperweights using her murrini too (bit different construction), so I guess I was inspired to try my own approach! Bullseye glass, including Tekta Murrini from Wilderness Glass by Lori Moreno: https://wildernessglass.com (for COE 96, check out similar designs and quality at https://bethalongi.com) Heart mold: Colour de Verre: http://www.colourdeverre.com/product_... FIRING SCHEDULES Murrini “puck” is fired as follows: 300-1425-15 9999-900-60 100-700-off Full fuse with tekta inside mold (I often include these hearts in with another full fuse firing just to fill the space. You just have to make sure you anneal for these hearts — they are THICK!) 300-1100-45 50-1225-60 600-1475-15 (this really depends on the rest of my load… sometimes up to 1490, maybe longer hold?) 9999-900-4.0 (yes, I am conservative and anneal for four hours!) 100-600-off Fire polish: 300-1275-60 9999-900-4.0 100-600-off
