🛳️Tugboat Linda Sue in a Blizzard on the Hudson River. LINDA SUE is a Tug and is sailing under the flag of UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Her length overall is 36.62 meters and her width is 10.36 meters. The Linda Sue is a steel-hulled tugboat built in 1974 by McDermott Shipyard in Morgan City, Louisiana. Originally launched as the Marty Defelice and later renamed Jennifer Turecamo, she served with various towing companies before being acquired in 2022 by Hays Tug and Launch Company, at which point she was renamed Linda Sue. The tug is a powerful twin-screw towing vessel (about 4,300 HP) primarily used for moving barges, including tanker barges around New York Harbor and the Hudson River (North River). On New Year’s Eve 2023 she arrived on the North River from the Delaware River with a tanker barge in tow, marking one of her notable appearances in NYC waters.
