Please turn on Klingon subtitles - any errors made during play will be listed there. This is a recorded livestream of David teaching and playing through the solo only, hidden movement game Black Sonata by John Kean, from Side Room Games. The identity of Shakespeare's Dark Lady is still a mystery to this day, but in Black Sonata you will work to uncover it. Traversing the streets of 17th Century London, you will try to work out where the Dark Lady is and discern clues as to her personality, which will eventually lead to her identity - but you only have so much time. The first truly solitaire-only game I have covered, Black Sonata manages to successfully create a one-player hidden movement experience. Featured a deck of cards with a variety of organisation options, you will create the path that the Dark Lady will follow around the board, and then try to track her down so that you can discover an aspect of her personality. If you can determine the three core aspects, you can confront her and discover if your investigations have lead you to the correct person. Please do leave a comment to let me know what you think, and I would love it if you would follow me on Twitch (www.twitch.tv/onceuponadie) and subscribe to my podcast (search Once Upon a Die on your preferred podcast provider). While the podcast was the initial focus, and is going to be coming back to life soon, the fact that I cannot easily bring actors to a recording studio right now has encouraged me to speed up my livestream plans, and therefore I am working on the Twitch channel sooner than expected. Any feedback greatly appreciated, and I hope to see you on the channel some time soon. If you enjoy my work, please head over to www.patreon.com/onceuponadie and become a member of my community.
