As you will see the soft foam helmet tests ok when dropped from the low level at 2.5 feet. But when dropped from 3.8 ft on the front it allows 380 G's to enter the head form and when dropped on the side it allows 840 G's to enter the head form. When the soft foam helmet is dropped from the 7 foot height it allows over 900 G's to enter the head form. The Soft Foam Helmet cannot pass the ASTM or CPSC Certified Testing process. Soft Foam Helmets do not pass current helmet safety standards. The S1 Lifer Helmet does a great job dispersing.diffusing and reducing impact energy to the head form. And throughout the testing process the helmet only allows 107 - 176 G's to enter the headform. The S1 Lifer Helmet is ASTM and CPSC Certified TEST RESULT SUMMARY Soft Foam Helmet 2.5' Drop - 86 Peak G'S 2.5' Drop - 148 Peak G's 3.8' Drop - 380 Peak G's 3.8' Drop - 841 Peak G's 7' Drop - 909 Peak G's 7' Drop - 963 Peak G's S1 Lifer Helmet 2.5' Drop - 107 Peak G 2.5' Drop - 102 Peak G 3.8' Drop - 168 Peak G 3.8' Drop - 175 Peak G 7' Drop - 164 Peak G 7' Drop - 176 Peak G Why ?
