Tommy's Trains - February Half Term Adventure Part 1

What a fantastic start to our half term trainspotting adventure where we head to Liverpool for 4 days of family fun spotting trains and visiting new stations. We started at Seaton Delaval catching a train into Newcastle before jumping onto a Trans Pennine Express to Liverpool Lime Street. We noticed an unusual train heading towards Runcorn and so we jumped on a London Northwestern Railway to Runcorn but the unusual train had been delayed. We jumped onto the next train which took us one stop to Acton Bridge. We just got there in time to catch the unusual train which turned out to be a London Overground train. We also saw a few freight trains and Avanti West Coast trains flying past at some speed. We then headed back to our hotel to drop off our bags and take a small rest before heading back out for some dinner. We had a delicious Italian meal with lots of pizza, some wine for Mammy and Daddy and Tommy joined in with a mocktail, his first ever mojito.
