We Found OPALS In Montana Mountains! Hiking 10 Miles for Hyalite Opal with Derek the Rock Master!

In this one, Derek and I head out on an amazing journey for opals! This location is a site that has been on my wishlist for faaar too long, so I was very excited to cross it off the list! We start our adventure by setting out on a 10 mile alpine hike in search of the very rare hyalite opal, a unique form of gemmy opal that contains uranium which causes bright flourescence! Our hike was absolutely gorgeous, filled with amazing mountain views, waterfalls, and scenic lakes. We both found some absolutely amazing specimens. This was one amazing experience to literally climb a mountain in search of Opal! I hope you all enjoy this one, and I will have another one out very soon!
