The new web project will be an interactive version of the U.S.S. Enterprise-D's master system display (#MSD). My goal is to mimic the iconic LCARS style & color scheme from the displays used in ST: TNG era. To ensure accuracy in this MSD recreation, I'm relying on the following resources: 1️⃣ ST:TNG Technical Manual 2️⃣ The film used in "Engineering MSD set" from the Set Blueprint Archive website http://archive.frogland.co.uk 3️⃣ Memory Alpha website for deck plans https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/... Several artists have impressively recreated this famous MSD for static prints previously. Though for an interactive experience, I need to build every element from the ground up. The "Asset Prep" phase of this process can be tedious. Each component must be neatly organized to be easily controlled and animated with code later on. While I was recreating this MSD in Figma, I thought it would be fun to record my progress.
