She discusses the rise of influential hashtags like #BlackLivesMatter and #MeToo, all fueled by the power of Black women. However, with this power came the dangers of misinformation, fake news, and even the manipulation of digital content by those with opposing agendas. Teja Smith is the founder of Get Social, a social media agency that engages with communities across the nation, exploring pressing social justice issues through innovative campaigns and media advocacy. Her work encourages others to grow in their understanding and engagement with critical societal issues. Teja continues to be a driving force in promoting positive change using her voice and platforms to elevate marginalized communities and create a more equitable and just society for all.
