I've been eagerly awaiting the Zoom Fly 3, and today I was able to take it out for a half marathon distance run. The shoe was fantastic right out of the box, and I could tell that this is definitely the best Zoom Fly Nike has made to date. Modeled off of the Vaporfly Next, the Zoom Fly feels more like it's bigger brother than previous years' versions have been able to achieve. with React foam in the midsole paired with a carbon fiber plate, the shoe provides a strong push off sensation with each stride, making it very capable for long and fast effort runs. And the new Vaporweave upper makes it a great quick drying material or summer sweat or for walking on water. I did feel the hot spot that I frequently feel in new React foam shoes, but I anticipate that will go away soon. even with the hot spot, I think this is a shoe that will lead to a lot of fun summer running miles.
