Today’s video is all about body recomposition. Body recomposition is another way of saying that you lose fat and build muscle at the same time. Your body fat percentage goes down while your lean body mass percentage goes up. This is the ideal way to transform your physique and in today’s video I’ll give you some tips for how to do it. Tip #1: MAKE PROTEIN YOUR MAIN MACRONUTRIENT. Protein is the closest thing to a miracle drug that we have. Protein helps you build muscle. It also takes a lot of energy for your body to digest, so you burn calories while you eat it. Plus, as you build more muscle, your metabolism starts to run faster, meaning you burn more calories at rest, and that helps with fat loss and too. Protein is the ultimate body recomposition food. Tip #2: FIND A COACH. Preferably someone who knows the ins and outs of body recomposition. I’ve personally done body recomposition for years after entering and competing in several bodybuilding shows - my latest one being on my 50th birthday. Tip #3: PRIORITIZE YOUR TESTOSTERONE LEVELS. Just like protein is the ultimate body recomposition food, testosterone is the body recomposition hormone. Studies show men who boost testosterone levels build muscle and burn fat faster than guys who don’t. I recommend boosting testosterone levels naturally - by getting 8 hours of sleep per night, spending time in the sun, eating foods like eggs, salmon, and grass fed beef, all of which help elevate T levels naturally.
