http://kbandstraining.com/best-pitchi... To perform the Power Position Sliders athletes will need a set of Kbands and 2 Speed and Agility Cones. Athletes will begin the drill after the appropriate Kbands are attached just above the knees and the Speed and Agility Cones are placed at a challenging distance apart. Athletes will begin standing at one Speed and Agility Cone, raise their inside leg up and balance on their outside leg. From this position athletes will perform a lateral jump in which they attempt to reach the opposite Speed and Agility Cone, landing on the opposite leg. Athletes will repeat this process for 5-6 resisted sets of 12-15 seconds before removing the Kbands and performing one unresisted set of the lateral jumps. To perform the shoulder prevention exercises athletes will need a partner and a set of KB Powerbands. During these three sequences athletes and their partners will both be holding one end of the resistance bands while one athlete performs shoulder exercises and the other athlete performs abdominal holds. In the first phase both athletes will face forward so they are side by side. The athlete starting with the shoulder portion will place a towel or their hand deep in their armpit. Athletes will place their elbow into their side and create a 90 degree angle at their elbow. From this point athletes will rotate their hand away from their body while keeping the elbow tucked. Partners will face the same direction, hold KB Powerband handle in front of them, arms extended, and perform a static hold, squeezing the abs to maintain good position. In the second phase of the shoulder exercises athletes will turn to face their partner performing the abs potion of the drill. The abs partners will perform the same exercise as before. Athletes will hold the KB Powerbands in one hand, raise the elbow so it is even with the shoulders and maintain a 90 degree angle at the elbow for the entire drill. Athletes will keep the elbow and upper arm in the same position while rotating the hand forward and back in a controlled motion. The final phase of this drill will involve athletes performing abs to perform the same static hold as the first two exercises, just from a seated position. Athletes performing the shoulder section will face the same direction as their partners and perform a lateral lunge while extending the arm straight out to the side. Lunges and arm extensions will be performed simultaneously in a controlled motion. Athletes will perform 2-3 sets of 8-10 repetitions of all three shoulder exercises rotating with their partner after each set. To perform the explosive jumps athletes will need a set of Kbands attached above the knees. Athletes will begin by performing tuck jumps followed by alternating split jumps. Tuck jumps can be completed by athletes jumping as high as they can in the air and tucking the knees to the chest while airborne. Split jumps involve athletes beginning in a lunging position, one foot out in front of the other, and explosively jumping and switching their front and back feet while in mid air. Complete 3-4 resisted sets of 8-12 on each exercise before moving into 2-3 unresisted sets of the explosive jumps.
