Why the New Zealand Cannabis Referendum Failed.

Alongside the recent New Zealand Election, Kiwis were asked two additional questions. One on whether euthanasia should be legal, and the other on making recreational cannabis legal. While the euthanasia referendum received a resounding yes from voters, the cannabis referendum was narrowly defeated, meaning that cannabis use will remain a criminal offence in New Zealand. But given how close this vote was, the cannabis referendum could easily have gone the other way, so in this video let’s explore what went wrong for the Yes Campaign.
