Ingredients: ************ Idly rice- 2 cups Urad dal- 2 tbsp Fenugreek seeds- 2 tbsp Salt oil Preparation: ************* First prepare the batter, Take 2 cups idly rice & 2 tbsp Urad dal mix it together and wash 3 or 4 times using running water and soak it for minimum 4 hours In a separate Bowl take 2 tbsp Fenugreek seeds, add water and soak it for 6 to 8 hours. I have left both of them to soak overnight. I have grinded in the mixer, grinder can also be used. First grind the fenugreek seeds, add the soaked water too. Do not waste the soaked water. After grinding into a paste consistency, add water step by step and grind it to get a fluffy consistency. I have used 1 glass of water other than the soaked water to get the fluffy consistency but added step by step. Grind the Rice & urad dal too get the Proper batter consistency. Add water considerably as mixing it with fenugreek will thicken the batter. Batter should be in coarse consistency. Mix both the batter, add salt and mix it well using hands. Close it with lid and ferment it for 8 hours. After 8 hours fermentation, Make dosas using the batter. thin or thick dosas based on your requirement. Delicious & Healthy Fenugreek Dosa is ready, you wont find the bitter taste in the dosa . It goes well with Spicy chutney. Fenugreek seeds has many medicinal benefits, it has lot of fiber and iron.
