Locomotive consist: GO 679 - MPI MP54AC - New GO Transit GO 351 - Bombardier CEM Cabcar - New GO Transit This crossing is located on the Metrolinx Weston Subdivision. Bell sequence: Bell rings through whole activation. Horn setting: Quiet zone. Signal on the left: A Safetran base, a WCH gate mechanism with RECO LED gate lights, 2 pairs of WCH 12x20" lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs and a low tone Safetran Type 3 electronic bell. Signal on the right: A Safetran base, a WCH gate mechanism with RECO LED gate lights and 2 pairs of WCH 12x20" lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs. Before I headed to Toronto Pearson International Airport, I wanted to get one more crossing filmed that day. So, I decided to get the only crossing on the Metrolinx Weston Subdivision recorded, being this one. After waiting for about 10 minutes, this Toronto-bound KI-line train came through with a Tier 4 MP54AC pulling a string of mixed Bi-Level coaches from different eras. This crossing is pretty nice, although heavily modernized as usual on Metrolinx. The signals were some old Safetran signals installed around the late 1970s or early 1980s by CN. Not much changed to the signals until between 2007 and 2009, when CN replaced the original WCH mechanical bell with the current Safetran Type 3 E-Bell. No major changes occurred after that until around 2017 or 2018, when Metrolinx modernized the crossing, replacing the original Safetran gate mechanisms with the current WCH ones, as well as the original Safetran 8” lights with the current WCH 12x20” GE Uniform Look LED lights.
