This Sunday, Pastor shared a powerful word grounded in six universal truths about God’s heart for His people—truths he witnessed firsthand across Asia during his recent ministry trip. He began with a brief report from his journey: He first attended the Victory Churches of Asia Conference in Bangkok, with over 400 leaders and members from nations like Thailand, Nepal, the Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Malaysia, India, Bhutan, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Ten pastors from Canada and a team of 30 joined the celebration. In his session, around 25 received the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues, and 40 were refreshed in their heavenly language. He then spent five days in Nepal, where Pastor Prem gathered 20 Nepali pastors and about 125 believers—some traveling over 20 hours by bus, many experiencing a hotel stay for the first time, all made possible by the church’s giving. Nearly the entire room came forward for Holy Spirit baptism, and about 80% spoke in tongues for the first time. Pastor also shared the awe of seeing the Himalayas—where our 9–10k ft mountains pale next to Everest at 29,000 feet. Next, he traveled to Delhi, India, a massive city of 34 million and twice the size of Calgary, to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of the first Victory Church planted there. During ministry, 120–140 people responded to the call for Holy Spirit baptism, with the majority speaking in tongues. In the final service, a spontaneous moment with the youth—complete with a beatbox rhythm and a rap—ignited the under-30 crowd with joy, showing that serving God is deeply joyful. Pastor emphasized that what God did overseas is fruit to our church’s account. Everywhere he went, the same Holy Spirit we experience here is at work among believers around the world.
