NI CO for Acceleration Radio, aired on CFRO 100.5FM from 11pm-12am 11/25/21, with video streamed on Vancouver Co Op radio YouTube, recorded at Lanesplit Studios. Nico Gonzales aka NI CO is a queer non-binary DJ and event curator, that has a way of conducting the dance floor, with booty-shaking music touching upon genres like techno, electro, trance and jersey club utilizing cheeky r&b + pop samples, to bring a sense of familiarity to the rave. Nico was raised in the DIY music scene, which prompted them to start a party series and collective, “Drill” in hopes to provide a safe space for QTBIPOC folks to be exposed to a wide range of artists and genres in the ‘Vancouver’ underground music scene.
