Exploring on the Honda XR150L: Green River Rd & Pinnacle Mtn. Rd (Western NC)

Though we both have CT125's we both opted for our bigger bikes. John rode his KLX300 and I rode the XR150. We took off from John's place in Asheville and made our way down to Zirconia, NC where we picked up Green River Road. After 6 miles of pavement we finally hit dirt. John had formerly worked for the gentleman who owns the large tract of land that is pancaked in between Green River Road and Pinnacle Mountain Road, so he knew a bunch of cool spots for us to check out. Not all of them made it into the video, but it was an epic day of exploring overall. There's a few 4x4 trails that parallel Pinnacle Mtn. Road, and so John and I had to take the bikes down them. We HAD to. Legally obligated...haha...... Finally, John and I switched bikes for the last bit of dirt road. He rode the XR while I rode the KLX. The difference between the two bikes is really interesting. The seat on the XR is drastically more comfortable. But, the KLX is waaaaaaaaay more powerful and the suspension is more suited to riding off-road. You don't get slammed around on the KLX like you do on the XR. Once we hit pavement, John and I made our way back to Asheville as the sun was setting. We went our separate ways at the Blue Ridge Parkway with another good day of riding in the books.
