Fire seems to be a theme surrounding the two of them, from Michonne's first appearance being in Season 2 Episode 13 "Beside the Dying Fire," Rick burning the barn and making his famous "Ricktatorship" speech by the fireside of the same episode, the burning of the prison and Alexandria, the bridge explosion, and so on.
