Strong families. Thriving children. Vibrant communities. That’s the Schuyler Center’s vision for New York’s Future. In our February Lunch & Learn, Crystal Charles, Senior Policy Manager, Schuyler Center for Analysis and Advocacy, told us about the Center’s annual State of New York’s Children Data Book, which provides a snapshot of the well-being of New York’s children and families and the challenges New York families are facing. The presentation also included an introduction and overview of services provided by the NYS Kinship Navigator from Rae Glaser, Director. Good data leads to good policy. The Schuyler Center believes that New York’s leaders can and must center the needs of families when making policy decisions. The Center’s annual analysis delivers that message – along with the data to support it – to the governor, state legislators, government leaders, and policymakers. Watch the February Lunch & Learn and find out how the Schuyler Center works with the NYS Kinship Navigator and other nonprofit organizations to make sure New York’s policies benefit everybody, not just those with money or power. Thank you to the Times Union for their media sponsorship of our February Lunch & Learn. Their support helps us reach new audiences with information about the Kinship Navigator and our partners.
