London Walk: Ravenscourt Park Station to Hammersmith Station (District and Piccadilly Lines)

#4K #WalkingTour #UK For the first five nights of my 2022 visit to London, I stayed in a room above a pub near Ravenscourt Park Station, a stop on the District Line. I found that I preferred catching the subway at Hammersmith Station, the next stop on the District Line, because of all the shops in and around it. If I needed to drop by Boots, it's inside. If I wanted a snack, or lunch, or coffee, there were plenty of places in and around the station. Plus, in addition to the District Line, the Piccadilly, Hammersmith & City, and Circle lines all pass through. I hadn't visited Hammersmith on my previous visits to London, so everything was new to me. I explored the area, including Ravenscourt Park near the eponymous underground station, walked a bit around neighboring Chiswick, and had a nice walk northward which led me through Shepherd's Bush Market to the Westfield London mall. I enjoyed spending time here, and I returned twice over the subsequent two weeks in order to visit the pub where I had stayed, the Prince of Wales Townhouse. They have a large selection on tap, the staff are friendly, and it proved to be quieter than the pubs around central London where I spent a good part of the remainder of my trip. I plan to stay there again on my next trip and explore more of the area. I had intended to film two walks while I was in London, but in the end I was so busy being a tourist and meeting old friends that this is the only one I recorded.
