In Donald Trump's first term, he said to his Secretary of Defense, Mark Esper, "Can't we just shoot protestors in the legs?" Secretary Esper said his impression was that it was a question AND a suggestion. With the militarization of the streets of America, first in California, soon coming to Florida, and undoubtedly elsewhere, the following issue will soon come into full focus: what happens if and when Trump start giving the military illegal orders.
