As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith in 2025, I wanted to honor the legacy of this unforgettable score and its impact on a generation of fans. “Duel of the Fates” was composed by John Williams and first appeared in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace during the climactic battle between Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Darth Maul. The piece later returned in Revenge of the Sith, underscoring the intense emotional and physical conflict between Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan on Mustafar. With its chanting chorus and urgent orchestration, it remains a fan-favorite piece that defines the prequel trilogy’s dramatic tone. This cover was made using the soundfont of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones on the Game Boy Advance. I used AnvilStudio and FEBuilder to create this. The track is fully usable in potential ROM hacks.
