Peak 10 at Breckenridge is one of the best sections to hit first chair on a powder day. With a couple inches of freshies, the Falcon SuperChair services the best black diamond groomers on the mountain. They groom these runs early each night so any overnight snowfall will coat the magnificent corduroy. On those deeper days though, you'll find me ripping laps through the perfectly spaced pine glade of The Burn. First chair on Breckenridge's Peak 10 begins with a wait at the Quicksilver SuperChair. This lift offloads right at the base of the Falcon SuperChair which is the only lift servicing Peak 10. Make sure the Falcon is running before heading to Quicksilver because if it's not (unusual but does happen), then all that time waiting will be for naught unless you like your powder flat and green... If it's closed, head to the Beaver Run SuperChair or another base area. The Falcon usually begins operations right away, but on really deep days you might have to wait again as they finish digging it out. Offload at the top of the Falcon SuperChair and head down the lift line past the entrances to Spitfire and Corsair (or hit them because they're awesome too) and you will see several marked entrances to The Burn. Tack skiers right as you descend to extend the run. The bottom of the run and if you enter very late, the run gets steeper and the trees tighter.
