Once you install the Batocera Linux operating system on the hard drive or SSD, you can install the hard drive or SSD in a sata port on the motherboard. You can also use the external hard drive docking station, and boot into Batocera Linux via USB port. In this video, I put the hard drive in the computer, and I connected it to a sata port. This way, you can have a dedicated emulation computer. The computer that I am using is technically obsolete, but I am using it as a multi platform emulator. It is capable of emulating everything from the Atari 2600 to a Sega Dreamcast video game console. Hard disk drives are much faster than USB flash drives when it comes to writing data, and it is faster in terms of reading data as well. A SSD is about 4 to 5 times faster than a hard disk drive. The average retro rom is about 0.128 Megabyte to 700 Megabytes. When you emulate video game consoles that use optical drives, having a fast storage device, like a HDD or SSD will help games load much faster. In addition, Batocera Linux will load up faster, and you will be able to copy large rom files much more quickly than using a USB flash drive. If you add a 2 Terabyte (2000 GB) hdd, you can probably add almost every retro game you ever wanted to play. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ [Links] ♦ Balena Etcher • https://www.balena.io/etcher/ ♦ Batocera Linux Download Page • https://batocera.org/download ◙ SABRENT USB 3.0 to SATA External Hard Drive Lay-Flat Docking Station for 2.5 or 3.5in HDD • https://amzn.to/3MoVerO ◙ Western Digital Blue 2 TB HDD • https://amzn.to/3LtQXCa ♠ Logitech F710 Wireless Gamepad • https://amzn.to/3aO9L2q ♠ Logitech F310 Gamepad • https://amzn.to/3xp9Z7J ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ █▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█
