Older model Maytag probably from the mid 90's. Small tub but in great shape, no bells and whistles. With today's engineering, not all parts need to be beefed up, hence the plastic tub and other plastic parts on most current designs. The parts that need to be heavy duty will constructed accordingly but not every single part of the machine like the original Maytag. It seemed brute force was the driving factor for design back in the day. Speed Queen still uses that philosophy while other manufactures use more finesse. However, I like a machine that I can hide behind if bullets are being fired.
