In Episode 10, I reflect on an important question: how should we approach Native American Studies as readers and scholars? This field is not simply a literary category. It is grounded in sovereignty, land, history, and living Indigenous communities. In this episode, I discuss why Native American Studies requires a different kind of attentiveness — one that moves beyond romanticization, beyond extraction, and beyond purely Western frameworks. We talk about sovereignty, positionality, land as relation rather than property, and the importance of reading with humility. This is not about having all the answers. It is about learning how to listen more carefully. Thank you for being here and thinking with me.
