"And in a nice shady spot we found Miss Ivy Duke and her hubby Mr Guy Newall had cast anchor - " L/S of a boat moored to the riverbank. M/S of Ivy and her Labrador standing on the side of the boat. C/U of Ms Duke sitting on the back of the boat at her typewriter. She smiles at the camera looking very fetching in a striped sundress and white hat. "While wifey works, hubby also, slaves away - " Sarcasm obviously as the husband is lounging on deck smoking his pipe and reading! He settles himself down amongst some cushions. Ivy visits a friend on another boat. She hands up baskets of food to a woman standing on another boat. Nice M/S of the two women preparing lunch on the bows of the boat. Ivy is cooking something (sausages?) on a portable stove and her friend looks like she is peeling potatoes. "But, soon we were off again, sailing along..." Moving shot of a houseboat on the riverbank. Note: in can 261 there are two very similar items "With Eve on the Broads" and "Eve on the Broads" - we have named them "version 1" and "version 2" to try and avoid confusion. Ivy Duke and Guy Newall were married - actor and actress. Although this item doesn't have an issue number and there is no relevant paperwork I think that it was probably a Pathe Pictorial item - not an Eve's Film Review item. No stock mark for dating.
