Cigar Review Perdomo 20th Anniversary Maduro When Smoked: November, 2024 Obtained from: single purchase from local shop Rested/aged 1+ months in my humidor Size: Epicure (Toro 6 inches x 56) Approximate cost: US$11 (retail, box of 24 is about $220 US) See ratings below In this video I review the Perdomo 20th Anniversary Maduro. Not sure if I smoked this one before, if I have it’s been awhile. The “20th Anniversary” name comes from the fact Perdomo started making cigars in 1992, and this cigar was released in 2012. There is also a Sun Grown version of it. First, let’s talk construction – I was extremely impressed by the burn and draw. A number of reviews I’ve read talk about Perdomo construction being less than average. For this stick at least I found it to be outstanding. Draw was just right for my taste, and burn was straight line all the way through. I was also impressed by the flavor profile on this cigar. Just enough spice to be interesting, but very smooth. Low in spice/strength but nice sturdy body, a bit over medium-full but really smooth. I rated the body an 8/10. Overall, I rated this cigar at 9/10. At $11 retail (about $9.50 per in box quantity) for a big toro sized stick, it is a decent value in Q4 2024. This is definitely a cigar worth trying and a pretty good entry point for a newer smoker to try a more full-bodied cigar.
