Tejashwi Yadav also stated that during the assembly elections, he had warned that the BJP did not want Nitish Kumar to become the Chief Minister. According to him, the BJP wanted its own Chief Minister and that he would only serve as a "rubber stamp." Tejashwi Yadav also said that Nitish Kumar has served Bihar for the past 20 years and he respects him for that.
