Imported to the UK from Pennsylvania in 1984, this Cadillac has not seen the road since. 4 out of 8 cylinders were rusted solid, I had the engine soaking in a mixture of diesel and atf fluid for 2 months prior to starting to strip it down. There were lots of bits missed from the video including oil changes, carb rebuilds etc This was a fun challenge of my patience and has taught me alot about the technology of the 50s, the engine will eventually need sending to a machine shop to be sleeved, but for the time being I will smoke around in the old girl until she gives up hoping to pick the camera up a little more in the new year and can document more adventures with these classics
