EICMA 2018 - SWM presents the Varez 125 and 400 SWM has presented to NICMA a naked bike available with 125 and 400cm3 engines. Named Varez in honor of the city of Varese, they share the chassis, but differentiated by the greater volume of the single cylinder and by different technical devices, more sophisticated on the older sister. There will also be a sportier version of 300 cm3 After EICMA 2018, the Gran Milano of SWM - among other things recently updated with the "special" Outlaw version - will be joined in the range by a new road bike declined in the displacements of 125 and 400 cm3. The two Varez - the name indicates in dialect the city of Varese in whose province is based SWM - they share the same frame between them, but they differ for suspensions, technical devices and, obviously, for the engine. Let's start with the smallest sister: driven by a 4-stroke single cylinder with double-overhead camshaft, liquid cooled and 6-speed gearbox, it is equipped with a chromium molybdenum steel tube frame - the same chosen for the 400cm3 - 41 mm upside-down fork and rear shock absorber with "Uni Track" progressive linkage. The brakes on the other hand are the 300 and 220 mm discs, double-piston floating caliper clamps on the front and single piston on the back. The alloy wheels are 17 "with Michelin Pilot Street 110/70 tires in front and 140/70 behind. Also the single-cylinder four-speed single-cam camshaft, the 400 mounted on the older sister, obviously offers superior performance (the power has not yet been declared). The same goes for the bicycle segment: the steel tube trellis frame remains the same, but the fork becomes more sophisticated - and adjustable - with larger diameter stems (47mm instead of 41). The rear shock absorber, on the other hand, remains the mono with progressive linkage already described above. Notable differences also in the braking system: on the 400 we find Brembo caliper with 320 mm floating front disc with a daisy profile bitten by radial caliper with four pistons and a fixed rear 220mm. These models do not yet know the prices: SWM has however announced the arrival in dealerships from spring 2019. Painted in black and exposed between 125 and 400, to tell the truth was also presented a sportier version - the confirms the Arrow exhaust - with 300cm3 engine. For her we will have to wait a little longer, the intention of SWM is in fact to enter the world Supersport 300 by 2020. La Casa varesina ha voluto fare le cose in grande, con tre differenti cilindrate: la 125 sarà la prima ad arrivare sul mercato, ad un prezzo di circa 4.000 euro.
