This joint CCRI–IAEA workshop, held from 7 to 8 July 2025 at the IAEA Headquarters in Vienna, brought together 119 experts (including 33 remote participants) to explore the current and future needs for high energy neutron metrology across a wide range of applications. The workshop addressed how metrology can support sectors such as space and aviation, radiobiology, hadron therapy, accelerator-based research, and radiation protection, with particular focus on the availability of suitable neutron facilities worldwide. Over two days, participants shared 18 scientific presentations and in-depth discussions on instrumentation, dosimetry, reference standards and nuclear data.
