How to play - Ace of Aces by The Fearless Flyers - Guitar Lesson

Here I'm taking you through bar by bar Mark Lettieri's part on Ace of Aces. Cory's part is also included in the PDF transcription if you want to play it. I loved this track when I first heard and thought I need to learn how to play this. But having been unable to find a transcription (I'm such a lazy guitarist!) I decide to try it for myself, never intending to make a video of it. But I still can't see a transcription out there so wanted to share so others can have a go. Below is a link to the PDF transcription so feel free to take a copy. Also check out my cover version if you haven't already seen it. Hats off to those out there who do this kind of thing and make it look so easy. All I have is an iPhone and very little time so apologies for any roughness around the edges but I hope you can still get something out of it. My guitar is unplugged in the video but you still get the idea of what I'm playing. To save time I have not gone into showing what fingers go where etc. With the tab and video you can see and I'm sure come up with your own alternatives. When playing slowly I may not have all the picking/scratches shown correctly but again you can refer to the tab or use your own. It's a great funk track with so much packed into 2 minutes. I personally learned a lot from it. It has improved my funk playing and given me lots of new ideas. So thanks Mark and Cory for being such an inspiration. Cory Wong plays a baritone on the track but I have transcribed on a regular six string in standard tuning as I don't have access to one.
