The Misfits have been in my top 5 all time artists since 2001. Danzig’s influence of R&B groups from the 50’s-60’s is at the forefront in the chorus of Some Kinda Hate. They took the punk and incorporated R&B and blues influences along with horror theme from cinema and created their own definitive subgenre. I taught myself how to play guitar using Misfits records circa 2004. Without them, I definitely would not be in the professional position that I am in today.
