We started the journey from Delhi, driving through winding mountain roads, landslide patches, and stretches of mist that looked straight out of a movie. By the time we reached Shimla, the hills were glowing under soft yellow streetlights, the air was cold, and the town was almost empty - no crowd, no chaos, just peace. September turned out to be the perfect time - the air was crisp, skies were clear, and Shimla felt calm in a way I’d never seen before. We explored the Mall Road at night, had quiet dinner break, and just took it all in before heading deeper into the Himalayas for the rest of the Spiti journey.
