Verbs ending with 하다 and verbs ending with 되다 get used in completely different ways – 하다 action verbs are “active verbs” while 되다 verbs are “passive verbs.” That means 하다 action verbs should use the Object Marker (을/를) to mark what they’re affecting, while 되다 verbs should not.
