大浪灣，也稱為大浪四灣，包括分布在3公里的海岸線上，水清沙幼的西灣、鹹田、大灣和東灣，連同北面著名的險峰──蚺蛇尖，合稱為「一尖四灣」，曾獲選為「香港十大自然勝景」第一名。大浪灣不僅風景優美，也具有豐富的地質內容。糧船灣超級火山活躍於1億4,000多萬年前，大浪灣地區正是其中一部分，多種火山岩在此出露，這裡的海灘也是香港最具代表性的海岸沉積地貌之一。 Tai Long Wan, often called the four bays of Tai Long Wan, is a stretch of indented coastline, where the fine sandy beaches and crystal water of Sai Wan, Ham Tin Wan, Tai Wan and Tung Wan sweep across 3km. Together with Sharp Peak, a famous perilous summit in the north, it makes up Sai Kung’s famous “one peak and four bays”. This picturesque location, which came first in the “Hong Kong’s Best 10 Scenic Sites” survey, is not only beautiful, but also rich in geology resources. The whole Tai Long Wan area was part of the High Island supervolcano, which was active some 140 million years ago. A number of volcanic rocks occur here.
