Welcome to the Norfolk Southern railroad crossing at West Memorial Drive in Muncie, IN. This is the forth crossing northbound on this single track main inside the city limits. Northbound trains are reducing speed while coming off of a down grade as they enter the city while southbound trains are accelerating as they enter the incline. Typical speed is in the 10-30 MP.H. range. The nearby traffic signals are not considered close enough to require pre-emption.
