Part 1 of a 2 part series on FC Sankt Pauli and the Millerntor Stadion ☠️ In this video we cover Bundesliga MatchDay as St. Pauli face RB Leipzig. This fixture was intriguing considering the culture of each football club. FC St. Pauli was built on fan support amongst the local left-wing Punk scene whereas Leipzig were built with Red Bull money. With that said, the away support for RB was good and a lot better than many Premier League teams. It was interesting watching Bundesliga football on the terraces, stood up… something I’ve not really experienced before at this level as top flight football became all-seated off the back of the Hillsborough disaster a couple months before I was born in 1989. In Part 2 we’ll cover the Millerntor Stadium Tour in more detail, in a documentary style video with the story of how FC Sankt Pauli rose to become a Bundesliga club.
