Sample for NO2, NO, SO2, and Dew Point contaminants in compressed air/gas with our AirCheck Kit K6042. BEFORE YOU BEGIN Before you begin sampling, take inventory of your kit pieces and sampling media. You should have a ¼” FNPT adapter, a brass street tee, a black bottle holder, a 1-5 LPM flowmeter labeled water and a 0.1-0.5 LPM flowmeter labeled NOX/SO2 both with black detector tube holders on top. Your kit will also come with spare parts and a tip breaker for the detector tubes. Inspect and clean equipment, remove oil or dirt from fittings. Your sampling media will include a water vapor detector tube with yellow caps, a NOx tube with red caps, a SO2 tube with clear caps, and a source bottle. Set up your sampling port with a ¼” male NPT and regulate pressure to 70 psi or less. Purge your sampling port for at least 5 minutes before attaching equipment. Ensure equipment is free from oil or dirt. Before you sample, inspect your bottle holder. The needles should be straight and firmly in place. If you notice the needles are bent, damaged, or crimped, replace them using the needle tool. Do not disassemble the black detector tube holder. If the nut is removed from the male connector, the grab ring and o-ring could fall out. If this is not properly assembled, the detector tube will not be held in place. Keep in mind that needles and detector tube holders are both consumable parts that should be replaced as needed. You are now ready to assemble your kit.
