1973 Mexican Spec Volkswagen Safari - 60205M Hello Friends Have you ever wanted a Volkswagen Thing? Here we have a 1973 Mexican Spec Volkswagen Safari. Fun Fact: All Volkswagen Things sold in the US were made in Mexico, Hecho En Mexico. Out back is a 1600 cc 4 cylinder type 1 engine. Of course it is a 4 speed manual transmission. This car has been restored to the condition you see here. The orange paint is very bright. The interior features black and orange vinyl upholstery front and back. You have to like orange if you buy this car. It has new tires, painted wheels and shiny chrome hub caps. Being this is a Safari, the paint was not color sanded and buffed. If you want shinier paint that can be done. This is more of an off road car so you might not want concours shiny paint. The floor has a black rubber mat. There might be panels that cover the metal in the foot well but they are not present here. The glove box door is missing, but I am sure one can be found. It has the earlier tail lights that are upside down, but that can be rectified. The car has a soft top with soft windows. Hard tops are available for these though. This car is ready to take out and enjoy and personalize it at your pleasure. If orange is not your color, there are many others for sale in a variety of colors.
