Sabaton - The Future Of Warfare (Lyrics English)

The tanks at the Battle of Flers–Courcelette accompanied the allied infantry as they advanced towards the German trenches. The words ‘first wave’ could have two meanings: one being that the tanks were in the first wave to charge towards the enemy on the battlefield that day, and two being that day marked the first wave of tanks that had ever appeared on a battlefield. On the 24th of April 1918, during the Second Battle of Villers-Bretonneux (a part of the German Spring Offensive), the first tank vs tank combat was witnessed in history, with 10 British tanks going up against 13 German tanks. This marked a further step in modern warfare as now tanks would not only fight infantry but other tanks as well. I do not own any of the music nor any of the content.
