Shetlands largest fire festival in Lerwick, Up Helly Aa. The day starts with the Jarl and Viking Squad arriving at The Toll Clock Shopping Centre for their first performance of the day. Followed by a DAY LIGHT PROCESSION through Lerwick to the Market Cross followed by the official photographs with their Galley at the Harbour/Pier. Up Helly Aa is always the last Tuesday of every January. No matter what the weather does. Nothing ever gets cancelled.
