2024 GDMBR Episode 4 - Butte to Boulder Creek Camp

My solo journey continues. From Butte I made it to the CDT trailhead, camped there, and, because of an error in my resupply plans, I rode back to Butte and spent a rest day getting food, resting and charging the electronics. A Warm Showers host, John Babcock, drove me back to the CDT trailhead the next morning where I continued up and over Fleecer Ridge. I had a great talk with Larry Smith from Butte, along with Lyn and Mike from New Zealand. They were riding northbound and had been on the trail for 6 months and shared some of their experiences with me. I have had no mechanical issues this year, and the weather has been mostly great. There was a stretch early on where I lost several key items, like my Click Stand, a fleece hat and helmet mirror, and my sleeping pad needed replacing in Helena.
