Rumored haunted, abandoned and vandalized for 20 years, the castle is getting new life! Robert Milhaly began building the castle over 20 years ago then life happened and it was abandoned. His attention has turned back to the castle and he is hoping to complete the new look before his daughter turns 16. She will have the opportunity to have her sweet 16th birthday in the castle! Robert plans to open it for weddings and such. Robert had an amazing attitude toward the vandalism and things stolen from his castle. He told me that it helped him plan and design a new look since he had to replace the broken windows and stolen objects around the castle. The castle is on private property. Research Robert before going to ask permission to enter through the gates to the castle. Neighbors will call the police if you go uninvited. He mentioned in one interview that he has had over 20,000 people show up to see the castle. Out of respect for Robert's time since he is rebuilding and busy with construction, I'm not adding his personal information here. He plans to have it finished in about 18 months, then it will may be open for rentals for weddings and meetings. Take a hike to the top of Red Mountain with me at the end of the video and see where the Tuscarora Native Americans were known to have their village at the top of the mountain.
