Guest Speaker  Rob Proulx Extension agricultural technology systems specialist at North Dakota State University Rob Proulx began his current role as an Agriculture Technology Systems Specialist with North Dakota State University Extension in January 2023. He provides statewide leadership to extension education efforts in agriculture technology, especially in the priority topic areas of precision agriculture, sprayer systems, and machinery systems. Proulx earned a B.S. in Plant Industries Management – Agronomy from the University of Minnesota Crookston (2006), an M.S. in Applied Plant Sciences – Agronomy/Agroecology from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities (2008), and a Ph.D. in Earth System Science and Policy from the University of North Dakota (2019). Prior to starting his current position, Proulx served as a lecturer in agronomy at the University of Minnesota Crookston for the past 14 years (2009-2022), where he taught and advised undergraduate students in precision agriculture and agronomy, which included teaching courses in grain and seed evaluation and seed conditioning and technology. Todd Robran Vice President of Sales Todd currently leads the Commercial team as Vice President of Sales at Growers Edge. Prior to his current role, Todd worked as Regional Sales Manager for Growers Edge working with agricultural retailers and input providers to help them implement warranty backed Crop Plans. Todd’s experience in both information technology and agriculture allows him to bring unique financial technology solutions to partners that are looking to expand adoption of new products, technology, and sustainability practices. Prior to joining Growers Edge Todd served on the executive leadership team and as Director of Client Engagement for Pratum, a cybersecurity consulting firm. Todd understood the unique needs of each of the company’s clients to ensure that their tolerance for risk and compliance needs are well understood and individually met. Todd was also sales manager for a fortune 100 Agricultural company where he spent seventeen years selling business to business by forming strong channel and retail partnerships. He is a certified six sigma black belt project manager with proven experience driving projects forward. As a project leader he has experience prioritizing, budgeting, and presenting projects to executive boards. Todd completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota and earned his Master of Science degree from University of Illinois.
