Living on a HOUSE BOAT at the BREEDE RIVER SOUTH AFRICA!!

Ever wondered what it would be like to live on a house boat on a river? Well we tried it for you... the #BreedeRiver in #SouthAfrica is located just outside the city of #CapeTown and is a popular location for #riverrafting and renting a #house boat! The Company we rented the house boat from was called #MalagasHotel the boats are rented for 2 nights. https://www.malagashotel.co.za We went from a Friday to A Sunday. The whole experience is a little rough. The boat itself has a cabin with a bed and then the table in the main area can be converted into a bed. 4 Adults fit comfortably in side. The shower situation... I was not a fan but I am very very picky even when it comes to hotels.The company that rents the boats out also run a beautiful guest house on bank of the river and they allow you to drive up whenever and use the showers, which would have been a better option for me as the toilet on the boat transforms into a shower which is just NOT my vibe :)) Overall it was an experience, we went in #Winter, I would suggest going in #Summer as swimming in the river would be awesome. Check the website above for rates, just beware you pay for the gas consumed separately and will be calculated when you return and check out. The boats are old so be sure to take cleaning supplies along, cooking was also a challenge as the gas stove is a hit and a miss, I would suggest taking food that is ready made or requires little cooking.
