Catalina Island Birding

This has been an incredible year of birdwatching—right from home! With so many migrants making their way north from Mexico and the southern regions for the breeding season, I’ve had the chance to witness a stunning variety of birds. Among the highlights: Western Tanagers, Black-headed Grosbeaks, and of course, all the familiar favorites—House Finches, Lesser Goldfinches, Orange-crowned Warblers, Barn Swallows, Wilson’s Warblers, and the ever-charismatic Acorn Woodpecker.
